Who can help me with Oblivion, Oblivion Mod Manager and Oblivion Patch

Hello everyone,

 

I have some problems with Oblivion, Oblivion Mod Manager and Oblivion Patch. I have spend the whole afternoon downloading mods for oblivion The elder scroll IV. I downloaded oblivion mod manager and created all the mods in there. I downloaded all the mods via this site. I also downloaded a mod that would change the menu of oblivion witch appears right after you started it. I activated it and then i played oblivion. the menu is the same as normal. that is my first problem. anyone who can fix that?

 

My second problem is a lot more difficult. I downloaded a mod that would change the nature in the game. ik would be more sharp and look more nice. i created it in oblivion mod manager but when i activate it says it needs obse v19. i downloaded that (see my other topic) and installed it. but when i try to run it, there is a message that says i have a old version of oblivion and that i need a newer version. so i downloaded a patch. but when i run the patch this message appears:

 

Patch error

 

Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since the file contents do not match.

 

Anyone knows what i should do?

what version of the game you using now - is it v1.2.0416 (listed in the bottom left of the main menu)

is it the goty edition, with Shivering Isles and other expansions?

is it a dvd copy or dyou download it

 

if its not v1.2.0416 you first need to update it with that official patch before applying any of the unofficial patches from tesnexus. Not sure about obse, but think it only works with Dvd and Steam versions of the game, so if you downloaded elsewhere, might be out of luck.

 

also what mods did you allready install

I have version 1.0.228 on my pc.

I have no expansion on it but im planning to get the most of them.

I copied the game from a friend if mine.

Where can I get a offichial patch?

you can get the officical patch here Youll need to deactivate all mods before updating or reinstall the vanilla game again to apply it.

Installing mod before patching may cause issues, such as shader corruption(especially if any mod changes stock shader). So patching the game before installing mod is recommended. If something goes wrong, you may need to reinstall your game.

If you do need to reinstall - for instance if you have either Vista or Win7 and made the mistake of installing in the default location - Wrong place.

It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.

I have the menu working but i still cant patch my oblivion. When i run a patch, official of unofficial, it gives the same message:

After that i cant run my oblivion either. I have to reinstall otherwise it wont work.
