New to Skyrim modding, would love some help

Hey I'm new to skyrim and I've been trying to install RealVision ENB. All the mods work I think but CoT is causing me issues. Is it my load order, or have I not installed something?

Well for 1, update.esm is not activated.

 

also get LOOT, a simple google search of "LOOT Skyrim" will bring it up.

also I am using Relavision too, its best if you carefully read the instructions in the description of the page and get the appropriate patches.

 

It may take a while but its worth it.

Right your new to this so let me say this, usually included with mods is a readme on the mod. find out if you need all of those COT patches activated - quite often these are optional modules in large scale mods and the author includes an esp which activates all. If you have this active and activate optionals as well it will crash. Im not saying this is the case here but something to bear in mind - read into each mod youre installing well and youll do fine, enjoy!

1. - Update.esm needs to be activated
2. - water.esp and purewaters.esp is a conflict (no doubt about it. Two different water textures will cause CTDs or you're wasting 1 of your 256 plugin slots because the lower mod will just override the higher one)
3. - Climates of Tamriel Nights should be higher on your load order, above the weather patch
4. - Whichever water mod you use, make sure it's below your Full LOD mods
5. - Your Full LOD mods need to be a LOT higher on your load order
6. - You need to have Optimized Vanilla Textures installed
7. - You should modify your Ugrids to load (Follow the instructions on RealVision's page)
8. - Get LOOT or the somewhat outdated BOSS. DO NOT rely on LOOT to fix your load order like a magic tool.
9. - Get Savegame script scapel.
10. - Watch Gopher's videos on youtube.
11. - Make sure you read ALL the instructions on Real Vision's pages, especially near the end where they talk about optimizing your ENB settings...

 

 

Additionally, what issues are you having? Where do you crash? What issues are you running into?
