VernonR
I think, that Moira could very well be from the Vault, and she does a good job of playing very stupid, and yet, she put the guide together for the less intellegent out in the wastes, which also shows intellegence. She is also a very skilled tech. because she doesn't kill herself tinkering with explosives. Now if you think about it, it was very smart to send someone to disarm all of those mines to make the town safe, so that people could move in if they wanted to. I think she new the raider's were at the marcket too. She plays stupid for all of the right reasons... With biding respect.
Herculine
You get the armored vault suit and they say "a girl came by here 10 years ago" or something like that. Does anyone have any idea who that was? The Lone Wanderer's mother.

Pintail102
I don't think it was Moria, I think it was one of the "patrol" members who died in the waste, probably a mole rat, as she does say "poor thing is probably dead" or something like that and some trader brought the suit to her to trade and it's been cluttering up her shop for ten years because no one would buy it. Since she's tired of looking at it and she has someone from the vault to palm it off on and send out to face certain death to write her book she can kill two birds with one stone. Wouldn't surprise me if it was Jerico who offed her just to get a few caps to pay off his bar bill either.

Moriarty refers to James and "his Brotherhood of Steel friend", and also expresses condolances on the death of the LW's mother. As I understand it, the BOS is Paladin Cross. K00L
(DONT READ THIS IF YOU HAVENT BEATEN FO3, just sayin there might be some things you wouldn't know) Hate to throw off the whole wonderful discussion of Megaton folks, but if you read the Overseer's terminal entries at the beginning it talks about how they had the vault open at one point and even sent people out, but some were attacked and killed or somethin like that so the overseer decided it was too unsafe, which you could also know it was open at one point because you weren't born in the vault. Lol but the whole Moira idea, that's a pretty good idea too!

Lol but the whole Moira idea, that's a pretty good idea too! Doesn't say any such thing. What it says is that the Overseer sent out a group to check out the Wasteland. A couple of whom opted to stay in Megaton (their fate, at least as far as the Overseer's files go, is unknown). Given that there is absolutely no mention of this bunch anywhere else, and V101's propaganda, the most likely and logical conclusion is that they were sent out in secret. Certainly, the Overseer did not want the rest of the Vault knowing that leaving was a genuine option.
wasteape
in answer to the first post it was a man by the name of walter schimle he went insane when he found out that the surface was perfectly livible albiet tough the overseer kicked him out and he formed the group of raiders living in evergreen mills
Gracinfields
Well I did a little digging around and read that Moira Brown was born sometime in 2253, in the town of Canterbury Commons. Found this on the wikiapedia site, it was referances to the Offical Game Guide for FO3 for this information.
