serious2venom
Well the title says it all. I would just like a mod which would let the player to role play as certain jobs like:- -Chef-Bard-Cleaner-servant -farmer-fisherman-taxes collector-gaurd..................... the list could go on and on and on... but you probably got the idea of the mod. If it's not hard on you please do the favor. m'kay?

RalinDrakus
I had Professions and eventually uninstalled it. I feel like the creator had the right idea, but couldn't quite reach the right application. All that does is give some minor skill learning perks or penalties based on your normal actions. If I choose hunter, I get the biggest bump to my skill progression for doing hunter stuff. This isn't a job: it doesn't modify my payment for completing these tasks, it doesn't give me a boss, it doesn't give me goals to complete. And worse everything else still can bump the progression just not as much. If I'm an alchemist I still get a minor bump for upgrading my armor and weapons. I think what the OP wants, and what I Know I'd love to see, is a mod that actually functions like a job. If I'm a hunter, I get more freedom. Say I'm the bondsman to Sidger in Falkreth (sp): I have to return at least once every one/two/whatever days with a certain amount of meat. Maybe throw in random events: he's throwing a feast for a visiting head of state so I have to bring three times my normal quota within a certain amount of time, but as a reward I get a big bump in pay. As a chef I have to report in to my boss on my 'shift' (say you only work three or four days a week; this gives you plenty of time to moonlight as the dragonborn when not slaving in the kitchen). You are given a set of ingredients. You can use them to make the most basic meals, or combine them as you level and learn new recipes to create delicacies; your pay would be determined by the quality of food and the amount made inside of the time limits of your shift I'd be thrilled to see a job as a town guard. You clock in at your assigned shift, and from there you patrol the streets. Random events would then be triggered throughout the day: break up a fist fight (two citizens brawling; as you approach they both become hostile and you have to beat them down), track a murderer (Mount and Blade fashion, except you're given a location by a witness and you track the bastard down. Early level the criminal is inside the city, mid level sergeant and hes somewhere in the Hold, late level investigator/captain and you have to track the killer across Skyrim), Stop attempted killings/run down murderers you see in the act (ala Markarth), escort a Thane on his journey to another hold, even Protect the Jarl. As a sergeant you can be sent to "quell bandit raids." Lead a troop of maybe four other guards to a village (if you're a guard in Whiterun, travel to Riverwood, if you're a Windhelm guard, go to protect Kynsgrove, etc.). After entering the town, a bandit raid is triggered. I know those are some massive projects, but anything that at least makes an attempt in that direction is what I'd really like to see
