TodaY
Hi yah all ;D Imma long time Oblivion modder, and finally got FO3 a while back. Ive played it long enough to start modding it now. Fose, fomm, and the latest patches are already in my possesion, along with several texture replacers and some body mods. I would love to hear your suggestions on essential mods (i am specifically looking for something like Anchorage DLC, and anything fit for a sniper character.) Thank you for reading ;D Edit - Hours in the title was supposed to be yours. Bloody iPad spelling check. Edited December 25, 2010 by TodaY
WastelandAssassin
well, if i will have to leave only a few mods on FO3, i would definitely keep MMM, FWE and WMKthese are my Must Have mods, and i just don't think i can play without them you may also want to check 19th and 20th Century Weapons, as it adds a ton of new weapons, and has many rifles that you can enjoy also, i really like DK_BulletTime mod, as it basically replaces VATS for me (which is a HUGE difference in how fun the game can be)and it also helps to get Artorps Zooming Scoped Weapons as for quest mods, i just love the work of Puce Moose, his quest mods are top notch, and really uniqueand you just can't forget A Quest For Heaven by Fireladythough i didn't get to play episode 2, and there is also a demo for episode 3, i am sure that you will enjoy these a great deal well, just thought of two more mods that i really like, that you may also likethe first is the best atmospheric mod i have seen for Fallout 3, and that is Felloutthe difference in the game is just amazing, and i don't think i will ever be able to remove this mod (it makes the wasteland look so much better, and it makes gameplay somewhat harder, which is also great)the second mod i thought of, is very helpful, especially if you have Fellout installedthe mod i had in mind, is the Advanced Recon Stealth Gear modaside from all the stealth items that it has, which could really help a sneak character, it also has some great gadgets, like night vision goggles (try playing with Fellout darker nights without these.....)it also has a thermal vision, which could really help a stealth character find enemies before they find youa truly awesome and helpful mod, in my opinion added links, now that the Fallout 3 Nexus is working again for me  if i'll have any more great mods in mind, i'll just update this post (unless you want me to post a new reply with other mods, which i am perfectly fine with :)) enjoy, and Merry Christmas (or in Fallout, Merry BloodyMess ) Edited December 25, 2010 by WastelandAssassin
bethjunkie
Random things I can't play without not covered in Wasteland Assassin's post: More Map Markers - FO3 is great at dumping you right in the middle of a warzone when you fast travel, especially when using Mart's Mutant Mod. This one adds lots of extra markers so you can fast travel somewhere nearby and walk over to your destination and save yourself a lot of pain.Nightmare Realm - a really fun quest mod, more combat than puzzlesSolar Scorcher - a superior weapon with a short quest to get itTailor Maid - accessorize your armor with bits of other armorsStealth Kills Enabled I haven't tried this one yet but if you enjoyed Anchorage, you can go Back To Anchorage.
