Can I use Things from oblivion and convert theem to FONV?

I am working on a mod for FONV and I would like to convert a few statues and display cases from oblivion to Fallout New Vegas. Would this be illegal or cause any sort of trouble. I would credit the developers of oblivion when the mod is done. Who would I have to contact if I where to ask permission to Bethesda for their things?

You cant take content from one game/DLC to another and upload it. In regards to contacting Bethesda no clue sorry, but tbh its proberly a waste of time anyway.

So I could just extract the files from the bsa convert them to NV and use them with no problems?

using assets from any bethesda game in any other game is defined by bethesda to be software piracy

If you had said permission, you wouldn't need to be asking. While it may sound innocent enough, the likelihood of getting official permission is next to none. Mod Author permission wouldn't be the significant factor here.

It won't hurt to ask. Maybe Beth will approve a limited port. Try to be specific as to what the assets you want to port are.

What if I used files from an oblivion mod, creted by a third party, with his or her permission of course

If the files and all content withen the files were created by a individual or party other than Bethesda, then you need to have their permission to use and port into New Vegas.
