Simply cannot remove vampirism

I became infected with vampirism about a week ago (real time) and have literally spent the last week trying to get rid of it so I can actually play the game properly again. Finally done the quest with the woman that makes the potion for you, she gave it me and it's done absolutely nothing.

 

Went to Skingrad to give the potion to the count, all that story is done but still - i'm a vampire. So i looked online and found the thing you can type into the console (the set vampire to -1 thing) and nope, no hope.

 

So basically i'm still losing a criminal amount of health every time im outside in the day, and to be honest with you it's really annoying.

 

N.B - I DO understand it's a clever role-play story for those who want to.

Enter in each of these commands into the console in turn.

That's what I meant in the first post, tried that twice now - doing nothing.

The -1 version of the command makes you immune to it, try using: set pcvampire to 0

 

That should cure it, and then use the -1 command to make sure you can't catch it again.

I found a page with glitches and it says this:

 

"After drinking the potion to cure yourself, Vampirism may not be removed. Use any Cure Disease effect to finish removing it."

 

Try doing that.

I have literally just tried doing this for hours, it just wont go away, i've put "set pcvampire to 0" but no luck. The cure disease doesn't work either.

 

This is really starting to get annoying, only bought this game 2 weeks ago and it's totally ruining the experience for me.

If i upload my saved game would it be possible for anyone to load it up and see if you can have a go?

Don't know how you can get rid of it but you say you lose a 'criminal amount of health'? Is this because you don't feed because it reduces the effects if you do.

 

Best place to feed are beggars, although I think it you may be kicked from Thieves' Guild.
