spinspider
Does anyone know if TESV is going to have the same mind-blowing amount of modularity via construction set as Morro and Oblivion? I sure as heck hope it'll still be just as moddable. I'll be upset if it isn't...
Fonger
plan on being upset then if they release a CS you'll be blown into orbit
Thor.
If Doom 3 is Mod able then this engine would be Mod Able to, i Almost confirmed that in the dx 11 thread. Dicecaster
Okay, if you're referring to the new engine that they'll use, then here: unless there are complete idiots working there (and it doesn't appear so) they will keep it just as moddable as its predecessors, if not more so. As I've stated in other topics, the CS/community is what's kept them going so long.
Povuholo
If Doom 3 is Mod able then this engine would be Mod Able tooI'm not seeing the logic in this statement. (Though I do think it'll be moddable)
spinspider
I do hope they realize that what keeps a game from dying off and being forgotten... is teh MODS!!!! That's what's made games like Oblivion continually so ridiculously successful and popular after all these years. Seriously! Cepherit
Well, if the players were given as much modding-opportunities as in the Construction Set, it would most definitely keep the game alive for a longer time!
Fonger
unless there are complete idiots working there (and it doesn't appear so)as counter proof I point to the fact that something very interesting was included on the official Fallout3 distribution disk that almost gave Mr Howard a formal trip to intensive care when it was finally discovered and publicized (nothing to do with photos)
Thor.
The engine in game, if you watch the tech demo it has a editor built into the engine itself, meaning anyone in game can pull it up and have all of the dev tools in front of you. With a few commands. Edited December 27, 2010 by Thor.
Fonger
The engine in game, if you watch the tech demo it has a editor built into the engine itself, meaning anyone in game can pull it up and have all of the dev tools in front of you. With a few commands.that clearly implies "console"and points to the likelihood of full construction set This game is now officially on my "buy" list BTW wonder if this implies that consoles will get a 'console' too??!!as in -- finally a way for Boxers to get out of jams easily and repair broken official quests too
