bob3739 Posted December 27, 2010 Share Posted December 27, 2010 ok so I am somewhat new to modding. I can handle the basics. However, I feel like i'm missing something and its probably something boneheaded I am doing. I have installed FOMM and downloaded several mods. None of the mods I have downloaded so far have had installation instructions more complicated than to place the files into the NV data folder. So i have unzipped all of these files into the FOMM NV folder. However, some of these mods show up in the FOMM load list so that they can be activated or "ticked," and others do not. Some examples of mods that are showing up include bottle that water, centered 3rd person camera, and tag skills improved. As you can see nothing crazy. Mods that are not showing up in the list include detailed normals, blackwolfs backpacks, and new vegas type 3 armor pack. The instructions for all three of these are simple and say just to unzip into the data folder, yet unlike the others I do not see an option to activate these mods in either FOMM or the NV mod loader. bob3739 Posted December 27, 2010 Author Share Posted December 27, 2010 Thanks, that covers my issue for that specific mod, but the problem seems to persist with others whose instructions mention making sure to select them. Unfortunately this isn't a problem with one or two mods, it seems to happen to about half of the mods I have tried to download and it seems fairly random. Any other ideas? Thanks for the help.
