yazoo1
Im planing to get a new laptop with a GTX 870m.I wanted to run Insomnia enb, hrk enb or far off enb and maybe 2k textures, couple followers, and i usually play intensely when it comes to battles. Was wondering if anyone has the same graphics card or similar to the GTX 870m and see how its plays in skyrim. PLEASE NO DESTOP>LAPTOP comments, wanted laptop for portability thanks Edited May 1, 2015 by yazoo1
Deleted3507349User
I have an ASUS ROG with a GTX 780M in it. This is obviously an older model than the one you're referring to, but I can tell you it's a powerhouse of a card. I can actually run modded Skyrim and Oblivion at the same time on different monitors with this thing at above maximum settings (controlling them individually is another matter ;) ). That said, there is an issue with nVidia drivers. It's a bug that's been in them for quite a while now. It's a minor but annoying issue. For some reason, the nVidia driver tends to 'forget' to apply custom graphical settings sometimes, requiring you to open the nVidia control panel and reapply them. This usually shows up when switching between a regular windowed app and a full-screen one - like, oh I dunno...a game. The ROG is an awesome laptop, btw...rugged, powerful, cool, quiet, and has a nice battery life. It's also a bit heavy, but for gaming you're going to get that. I know that the gtx 780m is slighty more stronger than 870m so it would help alot
