Using Vanilla-Dialogue over again?

Im trying to figure out how i could use the Vanilla Dialogue/Lipsync over again on a new npc. Is there no easy way to do this?

Pick a voice type that you want to use, then extract that whole folder from the voices BSA and start looking for things you can use. Or if you know the specific dialog you want to use, make sure it has the voice type you want and just extract those from the BSA and rename them to whatever your mod is expecting the file name to be.

Seems simple enough. And by rename them, you mean rename them "temp" ? Since thats the default? Also, if i use multiple dialogue topics wouldnt that be messy as hell? :P

No, what he means is this:

You need to create a new topic for that piece of dialogue as though you were creating a brand new dialogue topic. You will give it some name "MyNewDialogueTopic" or whatever and type in the exact wording as the original dialogue that you are copying. Once that is done you will double click on the dialogue line in the right hand window so that the little window will pop up and there is a Voice Filename about halfway down. You need to copy that and paste it onto the name of the lip and ogg file names of the file you extracted from the NV bsa (that's the renaming).

Oh, I should back up. When you extracted the files from the bsa you needed to create a folder to put them in. They need to live in sound\voice\NameofYourEsp.esp\VoiceName

Also, it doesn't matter how many voice files you use, and, you can copy lines over and over again and use them in different situations if you want. The only limit is how much work you want to do. You can also chop lines into little pieces and put them back together and lipsync them. That link is a tutorial that can tell you how to do that if you are interested and you'd need something like Audacity.

Ahh, its all clear now :) Thanks. But by Voicename, do you mean Voicetype? Sound/Voice/Myesp.esp/maleadult3/Paste files here? I got them in the myesp.esp folder as of now..

I also ran into a not familiar problem  When i try to talk to my new npc, it zooms in for 2 seconds without anything happening, then it zoomes back out. Im back after a while, so i need to refresh some skills. What could cause this?

How are you initiating conversation? Are you using a force greet and a dialogue package? Do you have a GREETING or a Hello topic? How's that set up?

Sorry about that. Yeah, what you've done is right.

Lol, while we're at it. I seem to have some kind of issue :pirate: My NPC has got 2 Goodbye topics ingame, while only one of them is the one i made. The "plausible" one is just in the way. He says "..." when i click it. Then goes out of dialogue. :( How do i remove it?
