DDay77
Pretty simple, which game do you like better, please vote in the poll and post any specif reasons you feel that way, This is going to sound odd but for some reason, Fallout NV doesn't have the same i guess you could say feel to it as Fallout... I cant explain it, What do you guys think? Edited December 28, 2010 by DDay77
barneydawson
I've gotta be honest, about 20% into NV I lost the will to go on and returned to DC for a more immersive experience. NV just doesn't hold my interest as the built environment is poor in comparison to DC.
Fatalmasterpiece
By Fallout I assume you mean Fallout 3? I preffered 3 over NV for sure. It was built better and felt like a more immersive atmosphere. Sometimes traveling through the subways in the dark was really scary and always trying to find ammo was a real challenge. NV feels more like a sandbox where I just run around and shoot stuff. Less survival, less fear or danger. Even though, the game mechanics themselves are better thanks to updates like ironsights, ammo crafting etc.

Most people think it sucks because the low-graphics, the third-person shooter and turn based combat. But most of these people started playing the Fallout 3 and some New Vegas. But you have to remember that the game was made in the late 90s' and that was pretty standard for it's time. What do you think?
ub3rman123
I liked New Vegas more. The map seemed like it was designed with a plan in mind. There are railways and highways leading to various parts of the map, and clans control places realistically. Fallout 3 seems more like a jumbled mess in its design, as though it was just thrown together at some dev's whim. Like someone building a skyscraper office building in the middle of nowhere. I also like Vegas's upbeat atmosphere more. Fallout 3 was just kind of depressing.
Fatalmasterpiece
It's the post apocalypse, people can't even find water to drink that doesn't kill them, super mutant murderers have taken over the nation's capital, bands of marauders run around abducting people to take them back to their base and kill them in grisley manners. It is supposed to be depressing!!! :wallbash:
roquefort
"It is supposed to be depressing!!!" I know what he means though. Trudging around that wasteland gets you down after a while. It's all much the same barren surroundings top to bottom. I generally get back to Oblivion for a bit of R&R when I get fed up with Fallout. It's a pity there isn't a Unique Landscapes type mod for fallout. I know there are ones that green up the place, but it isn't really the same. A few mesa & canyons would vary things a bit
