Is there anyway to disable guards respawning?

I've been bored lately and just running around in towns using deadly reflex trying to kill off everyone, but after awhile when i go back to a town the guards will be respawned in their underwear.

 

Is there someway i can disable the guards from respawning?

 

 

Also are there any mods to make more civilians appear in towns?

As for the guards in their underwear, certain deadly reflex moves that dismember enemies cause this because the different body parts each have the script that makes them respawn. There well always be an armored guard respawned from the remains who will follow the AI of the original guard, then, depending on how many parts the original dead guard was in, one or two underwear guards who have the same face as the original guard, but just stand there and have generic dialogue options. The disable console command can be used on the naked clones safely, but deadly reflex wasn't designed to be used on characters who respawn like guards or the annoying fan, and they will always multiply if dismembered.

 

I don't know about mods to add people to towns, but "Busy Roads" adds endless travelers to the roads you can eliminate with usually no consequences.

I figured that DR had a part to play in the guards respawning in their underwear, is there no way to disable guards respawning or maybe to even just disable guards completely?

Disable the individual guards I suppose...that's one way.

Nobody suggested going into the CS and simply unchecking the "Respawns" box on every guard?

 

Try going into the CS and unchecking the "Respawns" box on every guard. :D Here's a list of all the guards in the game, with their formIDs.

 

Don't forget though; without guards the game becomes a much more boring place! ;)

agreed...and I'd have suggested unchecking that box but I know next to nothing about the CS.
