chad878262
I have listed my Mods below... I read on this forum and Bioware and tried all the tips and tricks I could find, but I can not get the quest givers to appear... I disabled Improved Tactics and Improved quickbar, went back in and out of the chantry, nothing. Then I disabled any non-bioware mods that I could, nothing. Then I installed GT Core Rules Fixpack and still nothing. Finally I tried runscript zz_arl_debug and still no quest givers. When I ran the script outside of the chantry it took me to dialog with Teagan and when I ran down the hill to check for the quest givers all of the people in the chantry were now outside, but no quest givers. When I ran the script inside the chantry it took me outside, but still no quest givers. Does anyone know how I can get the quest givers to appear? Don't want to fight through the whole battle again, keeping everyone alive to have the same bug. I restarted the battle with the fixpack installed and other mods disabled but the oil still doesn't light fire and the corpses aren't coming down the hill which makes me think the same bug is going to occur... Any help would be greatly appreciated so I can continue the game... chad878262
Can anyone help with this? I disabled all mods, went back to a save prior to redcliffe and started from there, got to redcliffe as fast as possible and started the battle. No movie played at the beginning so I am guessing it is still messed up after disabling the mods. Does anyone know where I can look to see if there are too many functions using event manager or if there is anything else I can do to fix my game? My only option looks to be restarting a new, game, but I have already reinstalled twice and restarted many games, but I keep hitting this glitch in Redcliffe. I beat the game once with no problems, but since I got Ultimate edition I can not seem to get the quest givers in redcliffe to appear...
AsmodeusUltima
This is the exact same bug that I, and at least one other player have been experiencing. There has been a bit of discussion on this thread: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/278428-npcs-missing/ I very much hope someone can shed some light on this problem for all of us. chad878262
Hey man, just so you know, I found out that if I properly uninstalled Nude Variety (had to manually delete a couple files even after removing with mod manager), advanced tactics and advanced quickbar the issue was resolved. I loaded my 'broken' save with no quest givers after deleting those mods, went to camp, then traveled back to redcliffe and all quest giver npc's are where they should be. I haven't tested before the battle bugs (no movie, no oil fire or mist, have to go get the corpse's to come fight, etc..), but I am guessing that is also fixed. Hopefully if you have these mods this will work for you as well.
MeToLee
I don't know anyone still has this problem but culprits are Advanced Tactics, Item set Fix and most suprisingly Extra Dog Slot. Edited September 7, 2014 by MeToLee
Thandal
No, EDS is not "one of the culprits". Never has been. :armscrossed:
MeToLee
Well it was for me. I deleted all overrides then disabled all contents then activated them one by one (which took a lot of time let me tell you) and played the battle. Whenever one of those three was activated I couldn't find the chantry board and other stuff. I'm happy to be able to solve my problem but sorry if I couldn't help to others. ThingTheWiz
Have to agree with Thandal - I have had Extra Dog Slot running for years and have not encountered the problem you describe.....
