SniperVillan
I have maybe 50 mods or so installed. I was running lodgen and I went into my game and something didnt seem quite right. All the trees looked ugly and were appearing badly. I tried everything I could think of to fix this. I disabled some .esp files, moved textures/meshes out of data folder and back in to track down what had happened. I couldn't work out why the trees looked so ugly. I was convinced it was a lod mod or a textures mod not playing nice with something or missing some textures. I became desperate at the 2 hour mark. I moved the textures and meshes folders out and tried again, what the hell I thought. Nothing was working, I could see purple shapes where textures had disappeared but the fugly tress were still there. I installed a few different environment mods and various lod texture mods to start to find anything to track this problem down. This in turn caused new problems but I was determined. This kind of ordeal went on for nearly 4 hours. Finally, battered and withered I looked around my gamescape. The sky was gone, purple everywhere. Awful. I hit the escape key and looked at options and saw that the tree visibility slider had somehow turned itself all the way down. I paused, contemplating the 4 hours never to return. I maxed the slider back up and took in the surroundings: a purple broken vista dotted with beautiful trees... It's 2 am. I'd better go, I have to work soon and I'm getting up in a minute... WastelandAssassin
yeah, the settings are awfulfor some reason, my LOD and Fade settings are constantly changing, so i could max all my fade settings, and after moving an inch in the game, they would go down themselvesi have yet to understand why this is happening, but i'm living with this sad to hear about such an experience as yours, but it is indeed an important lesson
darkedge42392
@WastelandAssassin - Do you have Streamline? It could be what's messing with your settings. Make sure you've configured your sl_ini correctly.
