Blender nif problem

So I use Blender to import and existing Oblivion .nif file. I edit the mesh the way I want it. But then I go to export it, and it exports fine with no errors, but then when I open the new .nif file in NifSkope, it's empty! Like, there's no mesh there, at all!

I absolutely hate it when I do that in Blender. Which is most likely why I have no patience for it. I've had to search Oblivions bsa many times because it deleted the original file too... argh.

 

Do you know what I am doing incorrectly?

Please don't bump / double-post / spam. It is against the forum rules.

 

If you are sure that all objects were selected before export, do you have any NiTriStrips in the NIF file when you open it in NifSkope?
