Changing an individual characters' body meshes

Is it possible to use different body meshes on different characters? For example, I have HGEC and Robert's body replacers and I want to create NPCs that make use of the various body options. I'm pretty new to modding oblivion and the construction set and I have found no options in there for changing meshes, only textures.

It depends on what you mean by Robert's, because there is a male and a female version. HGEC will work quite fine alongside Robert's male body replacer (HGEC being female only), but it will not work with Robert's female replacer. You also cannot have multiple 'options' for each body replacer, at least not in a generic sense -- pick one and stick with it.

I probably wasn't very clear in my question. What I want to know is if it's possible with the construction set to make NPCs use specific meshes instead of the default ones. In the Race menu I see the options to load textures for the body but not meshes.

Maybe there is a way. But havn't tested it.

 

As far as I can remember (I couldn't find the source though), location for meshes are not race specific, but are defined by the location of the skeleton, which is NPC specific. If this was possible, you could define different folders for different body meshes. But this would also require full copies of everything what is in the _malle folder, including ALL animation file.
