lidarian
not just the armour but weapons too i hope are run into skyrim, like umbra and other special long running ones also, i hope someone makes a mod for the armour of the guy in the skyrim trailr i dont wanna wait 6 months to get into that armour its pretty sweet,i cant stop watching the trailer, the sound of epicness is the point where the music starts with his dovakhiin shout, sorry off topic,i hope that the influences of oblivion linger in skyrim as morrowind did oblivion but i also want skyrim to feel as a veeerrrry new open game...... seperate ....yet alongside oblivion, and all TES ...anyone know what i mean, i saw a pic of some leaked footage and it turns out polearms and spears will be added along with other new forms of weaponry in skyrim
lidarian
Lets see, it was in Arena too wasn't it? I haven't played that in sooooooo long lol. Daggerfall I played around 7 years agp, then I played Oblivion, then Morrowind... So out of order lol. Well, we know it was in at least 3 like you said, I know it was in Daggerfall. And of course, Morrowind and Oblivion :P Remember though, in the trailer it said "But their defeat was only a delay."... so although Martin sacrificed himself to banish Mehrunes and the daedra back to Oblivion, thus closing all Oblivion gates it may be possible that the daedra found another way into Nirn, because you can still summon them, and they can come through the use of the Sanguine Rose. Anythings possible in a game lol (Well, almost anything)in the trailer after and beforehe says thier defeat was merely a delay he says several things than notify that its the dragons...amd in the trailer also it shows the dragon carving when he says it and another thing "the elder scrolls told of their return" the game is about the return of dragons...he also clearly says AFTER the time that oblivion opened. and "no one wanted to belive" i remember in morrowind and oblivion one or two npcs talking about dragons being nonesense has anyone noticed that the skyrim symbol is everywhere in IC
Vagrant0
has anyone noticed that the skyrim symbol is everywhere in ICIt's the mark of the Septims. Only makes sense since TES:V is about making a new line of dragonborn. As for Glass... Yep, imported from Morrowind for years and years, their main export and the reason why they were invaded by the empire. Raw glass was probably taken and manufactured on the mainland using a more imperial style instead of the rougher Vardenfall style. Glass is also an ore that that has a crystalline look (the transparent part was added by modders wanting glass to look like glass), rather than being literally glass as we know it. I'm pretty sure it can be found in other places too.

lidarian
i heard that the game will be so in depth that if you drop a valuable item in a town that people and beggars might fight for it or someone might pick it u and attempt to return it to you, i also saw shots of an argonian siloette and elven armor...elven is in there so rest assured multiple forms of armour will be in there. images have been confirmed as real and if you look at the skyrim trailer it has a player in elven in 3rd person veiw http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/027/5/5/skyrim__s_argonian_drawing_by_xxxbanditxxx-d383uyh.png

I'm saying that within the TES universe, Glass as a material for armor does not have the same properties as real world glass and both have very different properties. Just like how Ebony within this universe is a dark metal rather than a type of wood.http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Raw_GlassBut, the problem is the ambiguous name, like Ebony, and that most of the lore around it only comes from Morrowind. I could have sworn that there were some mentions of glass coming from Hammerfall but I can't find the source. But as the link mentions High Elven designs, one can assume that it is not found exclusively around Red Mountain. In what official incarnations we have had, Glass has always been shown to be a shiny, hard, light, opaque, crystalline material. The differences between designs however are likely because the armors in Morrowind use raw shards of Glass for ornamentation while varieties on the mainland are constructed mostly of Glass which has been worked over by a skilled craftsman.
