Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeletons

You do not need to use BSA unpacker, that was just an added advice. Unpacking all meshes would show you that the skeleton is still in the BSA files, and the meshes in the BSA files can NOT be overwritten.

The game's programming has a special order in which it scans it's folders when booting up. At first it scans all subfolders with custom content and only after THAT it scans the BSA files. So if there is a skelleton already in the custom content subfolders, it will use that. Is no skelleton there, it skips that part and uses teh skelleton savely stored in the BSA files. This is how adding custom content works - because the game first looks for custom stuff and if it finds none, it uses the vanilla counterparts in the BSA.

The reason why your computer asked you to overwrite a skelleton is because you most likely downloaded one with an outfit or armor. So just delete the maximum compatibility skelleton. The game won't even blink but use the vanilla skelleton from the BSA file instead.

But one thing confuses me. Isn't there a first person fix in Corronera's package? Are you sure you downloaded the right file? Because there are a lot of edits of that skelleton floating around, like BBB addons and whatnot. I once had a problem where the poligons of an armor would go bonkers all over the room in first person and I added corronera'S first person skelleton fix and it worked. So now I am wondering, did you add the first person file?

yes i added the correct file I'm sure of it. when i deleted the files i thought were it, it just made my characters tits go off to infinity lol and still didnt fix the problem.

Then you have to install maximun compatibility skeleton back or change body replacer(and clothes). 'Go off to infinity' is symptom of missing bone from skeleton.

Yup, the "boobs to infinity" bug (which is one of the most awesome bug names I have ever heard XD) is well known among Oblivion players. It mostly happens with armors that don't support the currently used body replacer or use BBB on a skelleton without breast bones.

The first person glitch you are reporting though is a total mystery to me. I had that happen to me before once, but that was a pose mod gone bad and I was stuck in a pose in first person mode. The only thing that I can come up with is that you have some first person skelleton saved somewhere and that it conflicts with the corronera one. Maybe searching your downloads folder using terms like "skelleton" or "firstperson" might help.

Edit: or it is some camera mod. Do you have a first person camera mod?

The problem is NOT caused by Coronerra's Maximum Compatibility Skeleton (CMCS), but by DR6 and it's use of 3rd person animations in 1st person view.

In my opinion, THIS IS A DR6 BUG !!

All original Oblivion 1st person anims define the camara position! DR6 anims DON'T (because they are copied/converted from 3rd person anims, which don't have a camera).

This may work well in some cases, but overall it doesn't (see all those "Animation oddities" described in the DR6 thread). The reason why it (sort of) works for the DR6 skeleton but not for CMCS might be that DR6 skeleton is "small" (camera is highest point), while CMCS is "tall" (there are wing and pony bones defined way above the camera). So maybe this is a scaling issue.

DR6 anims have to define camara position, at least for the idle animations. I wanted to post that in the DR6 thread, but that's closed (looks like a new release is coming).

If you are still having issues with the camera floating above your character in first person when you have Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeleton loaded, I have a fix for you.

I to had the same problem, and was freaking out because i couldnt play the game with my camera up that high, and i sure didnt want to try to play my character with her boobs shooting out to some random point.

Anyway, If you know how to work your way around NifSkope, This will be fairly easy for you.

What you need to do, is go into the Rar file you got for DR6 and find the original Skeleton.nif for the 1st person camera(It should be in Meshes/Character/1stperson) Once you've found that, copy it to a folder somewhere so that you can work on it.

Open up the Skeleton.nif from DR6 and then open up the Skeleton.nif from Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeleton.

You should now have both files open.

DR6 1st Person Skeleton.nif

Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeleton.nif

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh148/Kelvrin/Oblivion/CoronerrasMaximumCompatibilitySkeletonnif-1.jpg

Now go to Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeleton.nif and find Bip01 R Op1

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh148/Kelvrin/Oblivion/CoronerrasBip01ROp1Copy-1.jpg

Right Click on it, go to Block > and select Copy Branch.

Now go to DR6 1st Person Skeleton.nif and find Bip01 Spine2

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh148/Kelvrin/Oblivion/DR61stPersonSkeletonSpine2.jpg

Right Click on it, go to Block > and select Paste Branch

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh148/Kelvrin/Oblivion/DR61stPersonSkeletonPaste.jpg

Now, Once youve done that, you'll need to repeat the last three(3) steps, Just instead of copying Bip01 R Op1, You'll want to Copy Bip01 L Op1

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh148/Kelvrin/Oblivion/CoronerrasBip01LOp1.jpg

Copy Bip01 L Op1 from Coronerras Maximum Compatibility Skeleton.nif and paste it to Bip01 Spine2 just like with the first one.

Once your done, it should look something like this.

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh148/Kelvrin/Oblivion/DR61stPersonSkeletonfinished.jpg

Now Simply save the edited skeleton as skeleton.nif and drag and drop it into your Oblivion/Data/Meshes/Character/1stperson Folder and select yes when it asks to overwrite the original.

Load up Oblivion, and if everything is working like it should, your camera should be where its suppose to, and your characters boobs wont be flying across the map :)
