MartG66
Just installed OBSE. Works perfectly. Now I have a feeling it's OBGE. following this thread with interest as i have a CTD issue that i've been narrowing down, i'm begginning to suspect OBGE for it too
adam9122
Yup, it's OBGE. I'm going to try something and I'll post back in a min.
adam9122
Okay, so its definitely OBGE. What should I do? Also, noob question, what does CTD mean?
Hickory
CTD means 'Crash To Desktop'. Regarding OBGE, first of all do you need it -- it's only eye-candy? If yes, then what is the contents of your \Data\Shaders\shaderlist.txt ?
adam9122
Hmm, that file isn't there... One thing I forgot to mention was that the glitch only happened after I installed the shader pack for OBGE. With just the core it worked fine. So, we just need to figure out what shader is causing the glitch.
Hickory
That's what your shaderlist.txt file is for, to direct OBGE which shaders to load. Create a new text file in \Data\Shaders\ called shaderlist.txt and place in it: godrays.fxobsharpen.fx For testing, that should give you godrays and the sharpen effect. For future reference, here are the official Oblivion shaders. Not to be confused with OBGE shaders.
adam9122
Okay so I just ran oblivion and looked at the console. It's loading every shader even though I only put those two in the shaderlist.txt. So something else is loading all the shaders. And my guess is one of the shaders is making the glitch happen. Hickory
Ok, if all of the shaders are loading, then you are using the support plugin. Try disabling the support plugin and use the shaderlist.txt instead.
adam9122
So even without out ANY shaders loaded the glitch still happens.
