Crashing

So I rebuilt my patch the way Hickory told me.

The weird glitch is still happening. It only happens when I take damage from anything. Falling, getting hit, or whatever.

Also, it still says Arrow, Silver, which is really annoying.

Ok, it's time to rule out your save file. Start a new game from scratch. Save the game in a new slot -- you can use the console to save it to any sensible name you want. For example:

save "New Save"

Now, get to those assassins and wade in. Do you still get that glitch?

Ok, now have you ever (and I don't mean recently, I mean EVER) installed any animation replacer mods?

Strike the above, I forgot that you did a clean Bban reinstall -- that's correct, right?

In that case, did you also remove your oblivion.ini file and allow the game to recreate it by running the game from the launcher?

Yes to both.

Let's take stock, then. You have done a complete clean reinstall, including a fresh oblivion.ini; you have reinstalled mods, BOSS, Wrye Bash, sorted your load order and created a Bashed Patch. Assuming you have done no tweaking, and that your video hardware is good, there can be only one problem, from where I am standing: one of your installed mods is causing this. How do you go about finding which one? Simple: do another clean reinstall -- no skipping stages or shortcuts - and run the game. No glitch? Fine, install ONE non-OBSE/OBGE mod -- do NOT install OBSE or OBGE yet . No glitch? Fine. Install the next mod... you get the picture.

It is possible it's his audio hardware, too.
