Oblivionmans Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 hey, when i download a mod, it is a 7Z file and not an esm or esp and even when i put it in the data folder, it doesn't show up in my data files in the oblivion launcher. Ps. thisd could be because i have windows 7...

bben46 Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 7z files are compressed (zipped) using the FREE 7-zip program which is available right here on The Nexus as a FREE download. http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15579 Be sure to associate the 7z, rar, zip to the 7-zip when you install it. Then whenever you click on any of those type of zipped files, 7-zip will automatically open to allow you to extract them. Almost all files you download, not just here but on nearly all sites will be zipped to save bandwidth.
