GiantSweetroll
Didn't test the harddrive? Hhhhmmm...... Download a copy of the Ultimate Boot CD. Burn it to a disk, and then boot from the disk, go to memory, and run memtest86..... Let it run for one full pass. After that, run MHDD, (latest version.) Or, if there is one, use the specific Toshiba utility on the disk. (toshiba drives are not really known for their longevity....) For MHDD to see your drive. you may have to go in to bios, and change your SATA operation from RAID, or AHCI, to legacy, or ATA mode. (varies by bios) If MHDD doesn't see the drive initially, that is likely your problem.Well this seems technical and advanced (opening BIOS and all). But I'll give it a shot. I'll report back later. Did you try verifying the game integrity with steam? Might be some corrupted files.I am not very familiar with Steam verifying game data integrity. How does it work actually? Will I loose some files (from mods) if they were corrupt or changed? I need to be careful when doing these things. I don't want re-install Skyrim and all my mods unless I really really need to. Noortje
It checks for missing files, not whether they are from a mod or vanilla.
DeftheLyn
Did you use SkyRe ?because i had this same issue, and the problem is SkyRe, i don't know maybe incompatibilities ?And now i move on to Perma, less issue and less CTD
GiantSweetroll
Well I do have SkyRe installed, and yes I think is incompatibility with a certain mod. I rebuilt my mod list with new mods and removed some, and I have not experienced the same crashes again. So it's not hardware, but MODS. However I was not able to identify culprit. But I'm just glad I can play Skyrim again. Thanks to all the previous replies of suggestions, it really add more knowledge to me, and I can minimize Skyrim crashing more and more. :)

MotoSxorpio
I've been getting that same thing, though a second try always gets me into the game. I suspect something deeper than mods in my case.
