Hickory
ah...that certainly makes sense, thanks. i installed OOO with the .exe installer, how would i go about uninstalling it, having done it this way? (if at all possible...i hope so) The .exe installer does NOT install OOO correctly. You have to read the manual and apply any changes (add ons, lite version etc) yourself. By far the best way is to download the OMOD version (you only need OOO_133_Complete.7z 402.6Mb) and use OBMM to install it, and let the script guide your through the options. Dannys
thanks Hickory. I actually did install the OMOD the first time around, but thought OOO was causing my problems (as opposed to the UI problem i described). Could i just delete all the plugins relating to OOO i added, the OOO folder that contains meshes and such and install the OMOD version through OBMM? Or is there more to the 'uninstall procedure' than that?

Look inside the OOO folder, then remove everything that relates to that folder structure from your \Oblivion\Data\ structure, including .esp files. Once you have done that remove the OOO folder, install the full works (include everything) from OBMM and then close OBMM (important). Restart OBMM and uninstall OOO again. Close OBMM and then reinstall using the options that you want in your game. This way you can be fairly sure of a clean install. It is important to close OBMM after installing, as it only cleans up once it is shut down. I cannot stress this enough, especially on large mods loke OOO. The reason for the multiple install/uninstall is to rid the Data folder of spurious stuff.

Am following your instructions to the letter now, i'm sure it'll work the way it was intended when i'm done.thanks again, you've been a huge help! Dannys
Just to be sure, and at the risk of sounding like a complete idiot; By removing everything that relates to the OOO folder structure, you main deleting all the files within Oblivion/data/meshes, Oblivion/data/textures and Oblivion/data/sounds that contain OOO data, right?I am assuming that choosing " deactivate " in OBMM does not do this for me when i've installed the OMOD, correct? Yes, remove everything, no matter what it is, even readmes. You are going for a completely clean install, but OBMM will NOT do that for a previous manual install, that is why you must do it yourself. OBMM will remove only what IT has put there.
