respecilization and modding in nexus

ok; i am still having some problems

the character respecilization I want to use is a dazip file, but I am not 100% sure how to use it with the DAO Manager

this is what your post says

1. Any mod that's packaged as a ".dazip" can be installed with the built-in "DAUpdater.exe" program, or with either of the two "manager" utilities: DAO_Modmanager (DAMM), or DA Modder (DAM). These two "managers" help with the housekeeping chores associated with some specific mod file-types. (These are not all, or even the majority, of DA mods. Most fall into the next category.)

just what do you do inside of the modmanagers, to start the installation? thats what I am not sure about

Hi Palandiell

The standard DAUpdater is ridiculously easy to use.

  1. Run the executable (which if you use a standard install in Win 7 is situated at C:\Program Files (x86)\Dragon Age\bin_ship\Daupdater.exe)
  2. To set up the DAZIP, you can either drag and drop it into DA Updater or use the "Select DAZIPS" button to navigate and select it.
  3. Click on the "install selected button"
  4. You won't get an install completion message, so when nothing else seems to be happening click on the "log" tab and check that the installation has successfully completed
  5. When next you open DA:O, go to the main menu, select Downloadable content, installed content and make sure the add-in is ticked as active
  6. Voilà

DA Modder is more sophisticated and gives you a better control and a fuller overview of what add-ins you have, but if all you want to do is install then DA Updater is fine

Thank you for this perfect explanation
