Of course, I've been using them to test all the swords. lol

Can I ask for a screenshot that shows all of these swords in the CS (with overlight - or whatever it's called - turned on!), so everyone can actually see how they look as a whole?

 

I've checked only the look of the swords (also in game), and so far, the only swords that look good to me are "Sword of Alonso Martinez", "Sir Hammonds' Blade", "Sword of Raging Hellfires" and "Eccentric Steel". But:

 

* The first one for some reason has a pitch black blade when outdoors, and an absurdly great amount of polygons on the hilt, making the game lagging terribly (already posted it in the comments for alonsomartinez's mod);

 

* The second one needed a bit of changing in UVmap, shape and the texture;

 

* The third one was shining too much;

 

* The fourth would need a more HD normal map, because the blade gets terribly blurred.

 

And lastly, all of them need better icons. I've made a little bit of fixing for Sir Hammonds' Blade and Sword of Raging Hellfires, and created icons for these four swords (I haven't created them for the rest of the swords, as I haven't considered their current look worthwhile) - the archive is created a bit loosely, but I think it shouldn't be a problem: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/26181179/FixedSwords.rar

 

Haven't checked the swords in original mod yet.

But you and all these people have expensive high-end computers, aren't you? I don't (2GB RAM, GeForce 6800 - it's considered to be "recommended" requirements, but I doubt that it's true), and because of that, my computer considers a sword with 7k vertexes and over 10k faces to be problematic. And I do believe that any people with non-expensive computers will experience it as well.

Most swords out here are in that factor and if your pc isn't working to well It'd recommend using the tweek guide and be sure your drivers are up to date.

Most people don't have "High end PCs out here", but you can have a big guess that if a modder is making a 2048x2048 texture it'd have to be used on a higher than 'recommended' pc (which isn't the case here btw.). Recommended counts for a vanilla game anyway and isn't the max it could achieve (vanilla) at all, but what bethesda found at that time to be most fitting what with was available 5-6 years ago.

 

I've got a laptop that uses memory to add to graphics and simply dies with shaders, depth and effects. But I can walk around with them fine, the only reason when I get lag is when I walk into the building where the swords are displayed, but that's more than logical. I get more lag when I walk into the Three merchants shop in the IC.

 

Feedback is always good, but but please be more specific:

I can't find myself in this or any lag. (You've been specific in this one though :) )

If guess you mean the part at the guard as that's been mirrored and shows the middle, but it's quite noticeable once it reflects. It seems to reflect differently as the rest of the blade as well. The rest seems fine.

* The third one was shining too much;

I guess you mean the red color was too bright than would fit the blad, as it's not shiny at all. Overall it's less shiny than the other blades.

* The fourth would need a more HD normal map, because the blade gets terribly blurred.

Possibly, but I think it's been done deliberately to get a more 'molten' look. More HD doesn't exist, more detailed (in this case you'd mean detailed by being of a large size) does. It'd earlier be the color map that'd need to be larger or detailed than the normal map.

(the usage of the word HD is a marketing tool, but also means 1280x720 or the bigger one (FullHD) (1920x1080 and the newer one UHD 7.680 x 4.320..In any sort it is irrelevant as textures need to be the power of two. (512/512-1024x1024-etc.etc))

(It's so funny that the word FullHD certainly wouldn't be really 'Full' anymore with UltraHD.)

The others are mostly vanilla models/textures simply with runes attached on the texture.

Our textures are extremely large ,but still that wont be a big factor. Also the most downloaded sword mods on the nexus are between 10k -20k verts. If your computer cant run them , then just dont use ithttp://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif

 

And so far no one have reported Lag in my mod comments so I guess its not that big of a deal.

 

Also you never got permission to edit and distribute those blades ...
