Liking to play male characters does not equal gay

Yeah, exactly. The only time somebody should be assuming anything about anyone else's attraction to males, females, inbetweens, any combination of the aforementioned or nobody at all, is if they actually tell you who they like. :)

No, that is not it at all. I have NO desire to be male. None. I don't play games as 'me', though, either. My characters are always 'they' - separate from 'me'. I interact with them as though they are a separate entity doing what I suggest or tell them to do.

I certainly do NOT wish I was male. I suspect the same is true for a lot of guys playing females. We play opposite sex because we like LOOKING AT THEM.

Exactly Slof!

I've never seen why some people complain about this or assume someone is gay for wanting beefacke in their game. In City of Heores/Villains, one of my best in-game friends is a lot like you Slof, she always plays male characters and always has them show a lot of skin and she has a healthly sex life with her husband in RL but her characters in game are gay/bisexual men. I always play females and often, although not always, have them show a lot of skin so we got along famously.

My view has always been to tolerate beefcake along with my beloved cheesecake as some people like one or the other and some like both, and yes women can have a healthy and active view on sex just like a lot of men. Also there is nothing wrong with being gay, straight, bisexual, transsexual etc.

i may only be bi, secretly, but when people joke around about gays, or act like im gay... it hurts

private schools are unforgiving of homosexuality of any kind in any way...

Honestly that's everywhere now days...

This is kind of like the civil rights era for not straight people (not just gays).

I'm a male that prefers to play nothing but females,i also enjoy seeing my characters with little to nothing on.It's my preference,to my mind there is nothing wrong with anyone enjoying their game their way.

I also create nude skins and have found a forum where i can upload them without being attacked by some difference hating moralist. It's sad that these emotional abusers are tolerated anywhere it should be,imo, one strike and they're gone.

I hope i'm not off topic too much but liking to play scantily clad or nude females does not equal pervert  and no i don't enjoy porn ether, believe it or not.

I'm also not into sex mods but i would support those who are.

My code of morality,in the real world, is simple, don't bring harm to others but in my fantasy world it's show and kick booty.

I enjoyed reading the posts in this thread and am pleased to find no abusers among you.We all have to be who are and the best way to thwart an abuser is to not allow them access to your emotions.

@Myrmaad

This cracked me up.

I play anything with a pulse and quite often everything without a pulse aswell; you cant beat a Robot Rampage for laffs.

Frankly I've never really been able to understand homophobia: fearing and hating someone for their sexual prefferences always seemed a lot more fear worthy than homosexuals themselves.

For me the core points a character needs are for them to look "right". Not good, right. If they're an Ork they'll never look good, but slap on enough 'Ard Bitz (simplistic metal armour made from scrap) and and Spikez and he'll look just simply Right: huge, ugly, mean, green, and properly Orky.

Likewise both my male and female characters undergo a lot of aesthetic work, getting the hair, face, eyes, clothing, armour, weapons, and scar tissue correct is vital to their personality matching how they look. In terms of taste though I've always ahd more of a gothic/punk taste ; I preffer heavy, dark garments and hate seeing my character squeezed into some silly bikini, regardless of gender.

I can never feel comfortable playing a male character. My characters are like barbies for me, I love dressing my ladies in lovely clothing (a lot of which that I wish I owned myself.) That can hardly make me a Lesbian, which I'm not. :P

I always clothe them properly, running around in your birthday suit waving a sharp sword doesn't fall into a category classified as smart. If anything I'm downright practical in clothing choices (not all the time though, I mean, running around in an evening gown is fun too), While they may not wear armored clothing, I'd hate to think they were cold while exploring an underground ruin made of stone.

My characters are more of an extension of myself into the game, I play what I'm comfortable in, and that happens to be the same gender as I am. :>

That is exactly it, for me. I don't ever find myself playing char's that are like the RL me. I always play girls, old men, or children (and if they're children, they're girls because I still heavily identify with the me-that-was-and-still-is, if you get my drift). It's not just because of roleplaying, though that really comes into play...trying to survive the Capital Wasteland as a girl-child is one helluva roleplaying experience for me. It really carries psychological weight, thank you, Children of the Wasteland.

The same goes for old men and girls/females that looked like they just stepped off of the cover of Heavy Metal magazine. The armour doesn't need to be skimpy (at times it's nice for a little while) but I have overriding pragmatic/historical concerns that have to be fulfilled in the end. Still, blade-wielding Cheesecake is the way to go for me.

There's also the superstitious part of me that won't put "me" in that kind of situation...better train a parallel me in that world, and keep the worlds separate!

I'll assume people reading this know of me or at least the content I make. Hey, I like girls and I like them a lot, but without fail I play male characters. I always use a nude male body replacer and I am a confirmed heterosexual (confirmed lots of times and as often as I can)

All that aside, male players who cringe at computer game male nude replacers are the same guys who wore their underwear in the shower in gym class and I don't want THOSE GUYS playing any mods I make.
