KenyCaPony
So I've been trying to mod Fallout 3, and I tried to install FOSE. When I did, it didn't wanted to start, saying that I have the original retail version of Fallout 3, and recommending me to download the 1.7 patch. So I did, and installed it(or at least I think I did). Went to try running FOSE once again and it told me the same thing as before. I checked my Fallout 3's version and it said 1.0.0.12. And I'm here like; "Say what?". So I tried to install the patch again, and the results were the same. What should I do?
M48A5
Move the game out of Program Files. The computer User Access Control (UAC) is not allowing any changes to be made. Or you could try setting the patch installer to run as an administrator. That might also work with the FOSE installer, maybe. You would be better off in the long run to uninstall the game and reinstall outside of the program files. See this: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1465357-installing-fallout-3-with-windows-78-and-xp/ You must do all the steps.
