ObLars
So. Im trying to import the Trograce from the Pitt Downloadable Content into Fallout New Vegas. (FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY) I got the Meshes/Textures working with no problem at all. I extracted the Meshes/Textures into the New Vegas DataFolder along with the soundfiles needed. The trog is moving ingame, with all the textures, attack animations etc. But there is NO sound at all, coming from him. How do i enable the sound? I know i can make a sound template, but i can't seem to choose the right sound files from the "TESsound" picking popup, as they aren't there. What am i doing wrong, and is there other ways to do this? I'd think the sound would come Automathic once i put the sound files in the right folder, but alas, i was wrong. Need help here guys. Thanks. Kudos and LOVE to all whom got advice. :)

Then you can specify the sounds for the creature under the 'Sounds' tab in the Creature window. Specifying sounds is kind of tedious but that's the only way it will work. So in the object window, you'll need to go in the Audio dropdown, and in the Sounds submenu you can either find an existing creature sound (NPCFeralGhoulRunLeft for example) or create a new one. I like using existing sounds since then all I have to do is change the Form ID and change the sound specified. You'll have to do this for each movement individually, so for example there will be a sound for the left foot at a walking pace and the right foot at walking pace, same for running, death, attack sounds, etc. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Haha, im going to have some good times with it! :P
ecksile
Sometimes the sound cues aren't specified only in the GECK and are also specified in the animations as well. So if you cant seem to get some sounds to work you'll have to check them in the animations as well. I had to do this for a custom creature for FO3 a while back but I dont remember the details to much....I'm not even sure how to explain it... I guess you could say inside the animation is a block that reads into the corresponding ESP/ESM that adds the creature in game, It looks for the sound file for the creature and It is then told to play that sound file within a certain timing during the animation play. So for example when a creature runs...the animations are set up in seconds as loops so lets say the animation is 4 seconds long at seconds 2 and 3 the animation will call the sound for the feet hitting the ground does that make sense?
