LHammonds
Could that make modding have similarities between TES4 and TES5?Hopefully with more capabilities. Actual model and animation support would be awesome. They couldn't before because they did not own the tech. It is possible they are using LightSpeed as the framework and tacking onto the product. Who knows. Hard to tell when they only mention things in passing. I just cannot believe they are building an engine from scratch. Those developers that do are able to do some seriously cool things but they tend to lack in a lot of other areas. If you're going to build game engines...do it where others will license off your work and specialize in it. But if you are not in the business to create game engines, it's better to license the core components that you need and stitch them together. Kind of like how Star Wars Force Unleashed was made....taking multiple technologies and not only making them work together but also interact together. Zaldir
Considering they've said the engine is made in-house at Bethesda, it won't be LightSpeed...
