I am newish to modding (I modded skyrim with NMM) I downloaded a few mods for FOGOTY and the body mod won't work. I don't know if my character is supposed to appear naked with these but in the pictures the mod has they are. I can post a list of all my mods I downloaded if it'll help and I know you'll probably want the body mods I downloaded so here you go:

At first I downloaded this: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/5326/? It said it works with another mod so I downloaded that too thinking I needed it: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/4280/?

I want the first one to be the working one but I don't know what went wrong. If you need me to post my other downloaded mods just tell me

PS I don't know if i's because this game is older then skyrim but I downloaded a lot more files for the mods then I did with skyrim. Like DLC compats for the mods.

What you downloaded was a body replacer. You will only see the effects when the character is nude. YOU have to remove the clothes or armor for the effect to be seen. You do not need the Dimonized Type 3 for the Type V mod to work.

You may or may not be able to install this with NMM. You do, however, have to toggle Archive Invalidation off then on again after the files are installed.

Thank you for your reply

I have taken off all clothing and was only left in default undies no nude body

So I can remove the type 3 mod and use the type V mod on it's own? I wanted to use the V type

And lastly if I deactivate the Archive Invalidation mod it'll fix the issue? could you please post a link to this so I can confirm it's what I have?

Thank you again

The best thing you should do is to re-install the Type V body mod, allowing for overwrite.

You have Archive Invalidation as part of NMM. You are using a mod manager, right? Archive Invalidation is found under the tools tab (crossed tools) on the GUI. You have to turn it off then back on again, after you install any mods that change textures.

I went into NMM and uninstalled the Archive Invalidation and uninstalled both type V files and reinstalled them and nothing changed

After you installed the Type V files, did you go back to Archive Invalidation and enable it again? You have to disable and enable it each time you change textures in the game. You do that after you have added the mod.

Also, if you are trying to use NMM to install the mod, that might be the problem. You should manually install the mod.

I found the crossed tools and activated it that way and it worked! Thank you a lot! Should I turn it on and off everytime I download a new mod?

I have made it a habit to toggle Archive Invalidation anytime I make any changes to the game. It might not be necessary to do it every time, but it only takes a couple of seconds and it doesn't hurt anything.

It should be done whenever you use install OR uninstall a mod that replaces a mesh or a texture, most other mods do not need it.
