BHWolf
Thanks any way, like you I'm beginning to find the music repetative and would like to add my oblivion music files or even some Conan movie tracks to G3. Another question and a discussion point: I notice that the colour for my endurance has changed, namely from yellow to grey and I am sure it did not start off as yellow. Does any one know whether this is a bug or whethr it has some game significance? The discussion point is whether any one else has noticed the height disadvantage one suffers if engaging in melee? It has now got to the point that if I can, I seek to be lower then the opponent, such as a ledge below or get it to come across a boulder. Cheers. dcyphure
:glare: wow, this game is horrible, i can tell the first person mode was slapped in at the last momenti get decent fps, averages 40 with max settings but graphics still need lots of work if they think this is any comparison to oblivion and i dont think that blurring the background as if my character needs glasses is much of a resolution to oblvions distance texture problem. **looks at advertisement in pc gaming magazine***....."no loading times" it says...hmm...... i guess if having my game freeze to a halt for 2 secs every 100 feet of travel on my high end rig instead of seeing a black screen with the word "loading" on it as being much better, then sure..that sounds like pure fun in a box. well thats the most positive review i have to say about this game, time to sell it to some poor sap on ebay, ill include the "no loading times" ad to get that few extra bucks out of it just like pirana bytes/jo wood productions did me i hope my $50 bill curses them and they go bankrupt
Malchik
BHWolf, the game is intended for psychics. If your endurance is grey you have 'weakness'. Cure it by taking a potion - white with a blue cross on it. I played most of the damn game before I found this out. When you get to Geldern help the alchemist Renwik and you can forget about it afterwards. dcyphure Oblivion was designed with wonderful graphics but a quest line aimed at those with IQs of less than 10. Or if that's unkind perhaps a concentration span of no more than two minutes might be fairer. It has the potential to be a terrific game but that potential is squandered IMO. Fear not however, Povuholo has already done one good mod and I am helping him with another. These will add some meat to the skeleton. Gothis 3 is buggy, with some unfortunate design decisions and is not the best game ever. However it has more to it than Oblivion once you know how to avoid the problems. I don't have any loading times between cells but maybe I am just lucky.
BHWolf
Malchik Thanks. :) Came across the cudgel thrusting zombies and the kung fu posing mummy last night! :P Parrying with a sword proved ineffective against the thrust and highlighted the value of a well timed initial attack. "Teach me how to fight" Any tips on how to counter the powered thrust attck other then stepping back? Malchik
I find dual wielding two good swords slices most things up pdq. Alternatively use along reach weapon for some situations. I use a quarterstaff atm as I have restarted as a mage. If you get strength high enough you can also wield orc weapons. Note 'worn' weapons do half the amount of damage they say they do,
BHWolf
"Worn weapons" also cannot be repaired. Learned that one after beating up Wensel and taking his paladins sword. :( Do halberds and spears count as longer reaching weapons? Can one not be a sword weilding mage? Having been unable to find a route from Cape Dunn and Ardea to the east of the mountains, last night I swam round to the west from Cape Dunn. Oh... Gargoyles, Allosaurus' x3 and 3 of biggest damn Trolls I have seen, unless I was a Tolkein hobbit. After despatching the Gargoyles and 2 monsters I gave the 3rd a miss and avoided the trolls; just don't think they are designed for lower teen level. Cheers. Malchik
Poor old Wenzel! He hid his good sword. If you ultimately decide to liberate Cape Dun, he'll give you a quest to find it. Halberds and spears are long reach weapons. Max points 500 for a kill come from Monsters (that's what they are called in game), Black Trolls (a lot harder than ordinary trolls) and Dragons. I have only found two dragons - in the cave beneath Cape Dun. You can deal with them fairly easily as long as you keep out of reach of their fireballs. Hardest creatures IMO - Sandcrawlers in large numbers, icewolves ditto, shadowbeasts (I had to deal with 18 around the druid Runak) and sabretooths at levels under 40. Trolls and Monsters move slowly enough for you to run and shoot at quite low levels. Happy hunting.
BHWolf
Happy hunting. Oddly enough I'm beginning o get a kick out of that, now that I have increased my effectiveness with a bow. If you have been up north, off of the top of your head can you remember how many wolf skins you need to bribe the orc at the Faring? BTW found another three "Monsters" last night referred to as "Snorting beasts" Regards
Malchik
At Nemora, just done that quest again myself not five mins ago. I think it's 25 Wolf Skins but not totally sure. Do the desert before Nordmar, it's more useful that way round.
BHWolf
Will do! Cheers :) BTW Have you done any prospecting, I'm not sure what I am suppose to be looking for?
