gojiraxyz
So, I'm a long time modder of Oblivion, and I decided that I wanted to play one of my fav games again. I got a selection of mods and started installing them, when I noticed a problem...I'm getting the Omod versions, and none of them action have .omod files in them. For instance, the DarkUI DarN 16 OMOD file currently only has a few files named script, readme, image, data.crc, data, and config. Attempting to install them via the Oblivion Mod Manager just ends up transfering those files rather than actually installing the mod. Not only that, mods with omod conversion data don't even install at all, though they act like they do. Enabling either types of files does nothing but make Oblivion crash. I can just manually install everything, as the mods I'm using are almost entirely mods I've used before and trust, but this is an enormous pain, and I'd much rather use the Manager. I've looked for similar threads, but can't find any. Any ideas or answers?
Striker879
There have been reports of some new "feature" foisted on the world by those wonderful folks at Microsoft that changes the OMOD file extension to ZIP. If that is at the root of your problem too then all you need to do after downloading the OMOD is change the file extension back from ZIP to OMOD.
