ihateporkchops
This is my first time installing FCOM so I followed the instructions to the letter. BOSS told me to delete "Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm" because it said it's a part of FCOM. So I deleted it via OBMM. Now wrye bash is telling me I need that file for FCOM to work. I've tried running the FrancescosOptionalNewItemsCreatures.exe again to get that .esm file back, but it doesn't work. It doesn't give me the file back. What do I do to get Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm back? CTD if I try to run oblivion.
Smooth613
BOSS would not tell you to remove that ESM in a proper FCOM setup. You either misunderstood the suggestion or have something else going on that shouldn't be. That something else could be a number of things, and since you didn't Post Your Load Order you leave us with nothing but guessing. Here is a snip of a BOSS log with FCOM installed. Special Mod Detection FCOM detected.OOO detected.Better Cities detected. Recognised And Re-ordered Mod Files Oblivion.esm * Note: Masterlist Revision: 1817 Francesco's Leveled Creatures-Items Mod.esm [Version 4.5bSI] * Bash Tag suggestion(s): {{BASH:Invent, Delev, Relev, Actors.AIData,Actors.Stats, Stats}} Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm [Version 4.5bSI] Cobl Main.esm [Version 1.73] As you can see Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm [Version 4.5bSI] is present, and FCOM is detected, and BOSS clearly doesn't tell you to remove it. In fact there are no suggestions for the previously mentioned file.
Hickory
No, BOSS does not tell you to delete Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm . but it does tell you to delete Francesco's Optional New Creatures Add-On.esm if FCOM is detected, as it's not compatible. You have deleted the wrong file.
