vptwarrior
Whenever i use printscreen, i can't look at the Bmp file. I tried to open it through other means but i cannot, i want to use this rather than steam because i want higher equality pictures, so what am i doing wrong. Clearly i do not have the program to open this file either even though everyone says i do.
vram1974
What happens when you rightclick the BMP file? Do you have a list of options that can open it?

vram1974
Hm, not sure why that's happening. By the way, Steam screenshots allow you the option to take an uncompressed quality shot. They're not BMP but the PNG files are between 1-2 MB each. If you want higher quality you'd need other third party software like FRAPS
Deleted3507349User
Steam disables print screen for Skyrim. You have to use Steam's screenshot hotkey (F12, I think). THEN, what you have to do is view the screenshots in Steam itself. If you THEN select the screenshots and click 'view on disk' they show up in whatever you have Steam's screenshot folder set to. All this only applies if you have the Steam Overlay enabled, of course (which iirc you need to have SKSE functionality). ...simple
NiteBeast
I think you have something wrong with your associations, possibly your bitmaps are corrupt. The format is native to windows, and is part of it's graphical subsystem, every version of Windows can view a bitmap although not all can view a 32 bit bitmap. What happens when you try to view it? Please be descriptive and post an image too if you can so we can see it. I mean post one of your BMP files for us to inspect.

Even regular windows paint can open them. Windows photo viewer can view the file type as well. Actually I can't think of a single image program that would have trouble opening .bmp files. Are you using a mac or something? Anyways here is a list with suggestions for opening .bmp files: http://www.filetips.org/how-to-open/bmp.html Edited May 13, 2015 by Noortje
mismisimodiablo
What I did and worked perfectly... It's to change the game resolution from 1366x768 to 1360x768... Yeah I'm still milking it... Edited July 19, 2019 by mismisimodiablo
