LtRhapthorn
Basically, when loading saves on my FalloutNV game I lag, and lag is very bad thing on my system, it makes crashes 50 times as likely. This affects me when I have more than say, 300-350 saves. Unfortunatly, due to the laggy nature of my game, I have to save often to avoid data loss. If I delete the saves found in My Documents\My Games\FalloutNV\Saves, up untill my current save, leaving the autosaves alone, will I get any long-lasting negative effects? Thanks for any help given. LtRhapthorn
So, just to clarify, it would have no long/short-term negative effect at all?
Fonger
So, just to clarify, it would have no long/short-term negative effect at all?you mean like that fatman you left in your vegas house would vanish because a previous save was gone or  that you couldn't sleep at night because the security of 350 previous saves was not at your fingertips    I really don't understand your question Edited January 6, 2011 by Fonger
LtRhapthorn
I mean like the game won't corrupt itself or explode or not ever function again.

bivar
I keep a maximum of 50 games in my Save game directory - any more than that and it takes longer and longer to Load/Save a game and increases the possibility of a crash. Like Fonger said, just move your older saves into a seperate directory and unclutter your save game dir - it will definitely speed up the Load/Save process. I've been doing it that way since Morrowind with no issues at all. Matter of fact it has saved my bacon many times (including yesterday).
