Custom NPC Makeup Not Showing Up In-Game

I've been working on a custom follower and have put make up on her, saved, loaded the game, but she doesn't have any make up on. I tried exporting the facegen data with Ctrl + F4 but it won't export; it does nothing. Any help on this will be appreciated.

On your actors traits tab, make sure Is CharGen Face Preset is not ticked.

How are you selecting your NPC to export the facegen data?

The way I do it is:

1. After creating an NPC, I save and close the CK

2. Reopen the CK and load my esp

3. Find and then select my NPC in the object window (don't use the filter) not the Render Window. Then hit Ctrl+F4 and the data should be generated.

Check in your Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\facegendata\FaceGeom and in

Skyrim\Data\Textures\actors\character\facegendata\facetint

and a file with your esp name should there.

It worked. Thanks :)

On a similar note, I've tweaked Brelyna Maryon's head in the CK, yet when I export, she shows up with the vanilla head and her face texture is off-color. Opening the exported head mesh in NifSkope shows the correct head, however. I've deleted all saves several times and started several New Games since modding her, but she still shows up with her vanilla head and brownish face.

Her head is not being exported to my mod's folder, but rather to the Skyrim.esm folder. I've opened/exported-from/closed the mod several times, as well.

Same thing happens with my mod of Ysolda, but fooling around with the load order seemed to have fixed it. She now only has the slightest neck seam that is not noticeable unless you really look hard.
