Feltmarskal Posted January 8, 2011 Share Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) not doing that CC... me also going to get sis to paint the left sidepannel(the non aclick one) and put more fans in it and a liquid neon.... as well as do a few outher things....like fan grlls and led screws for the top two fan mounts but those thigs come after the intnail buld... gonna build it myself too.... at the store where the parts age going to come from.... with some assitace from one of the employiesalso... ive gotta save up for 50 weeks at 100 a week.... Thanks very much Gormonk, I'll be sure not to enjoy it. :sad: please dont change quotes... its frustrateing....as for the parts.. if i can get better for the same price in a years time i will.... why crossfire... because i want crossfire.... what is the point in saveing for something that you dont want??What is the point in buying something you don't need? But well... It's your own money and if you're doing nothing else than sitting infront of the computer the whole day, and not want to use those money on something that is more useful, then do it. vvk78 Posted January 9, 2011 Share Posted January 9, 2011 I have the new Dell XPS 15 "2011 series" with:i7 740QM (1.73GHz, quad-core, 6MB cache), 4GB DDR3, 640GB HDD, nVidia GT435M 2GB VRAM (DirectX 11 compliant, 3D support), USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 3.0, 15.6 FHD B+RGBLED display, HD Webcam, Wifi+n, Blu-ray, Backlit Keyboard, JBL Surround speaker (with subwoofer), and Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. And guess what, it ain't too costly, it is quite portable, gives sufficient backup for infrequent travel (6-cell battery), and plays most of the recent games at decent FPS. And did I mention that it has (arguably) the best sound system of any laptop in the world? That, combined with all the connectivity options (USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 3.0 on a laptop, FWIW), means that this machine can do a lot more than just gaming. My advise is to buy within your means, do not overstretch your budget. Never aim for the best high-end rig, unless you are a millionaire, professional gamer/designer or run a gaming casino . Technology gets outdated too fast these days, so no point in throwing hard-earned money on a dream machine (unless you get it at a fancy rebate). Aftermarket rigs at local dealers can also give you good juice, especially if you buy with the right components and are assured of genuine quality and support. And oh, by the way, I bought my laptop in a local superstore, and it was selling like hot cakes this holiday season.
