jacobcallt
You really need to review the site content ads that you allow placed on this site, I just got two or three separate instances of some lame "scanning your computer now, free trial edition virus scanning software!" even with adblocking in place and Javascript being in secure mode >< How the hell does this sort of stuff get past people who run respectable sites like this? I trusted you Nexus, I trusted youuuuuuuu... okay /drama off, heh.
kosmic2k10
Yeah i have gotten these too but the response i got was spyware on my end which in my defense i only get when I'm connected to nexus in some fashion either on the forums and or the mod DL site i have even taken my system to have it scanned in a PC shop just to make sure i had nothing on my end and as soon as connect to nexus i get the ad spam again. and to add to the problem i figured it might just be the freebie section so i paid money to become a premium member and i still get slammed with ADs

Each ad comes from a much bigger package that the site acquires, so you, the user, need to be able to reference the exact ad so that Dark0ne can contact the ad provider and have it removed. Sometimes my cookies are stale and Nexus thinks I'm a Guest -- THEN I get the pop-ups, etc. But never when I'm logged-in.
LHammonds
I would venture to guess your PC is infected. What anti-virus and anti-malware programs are you running? I use Comodo Internet Security and have zero problems. And yes, if you are a premium member (and logged in), you will get NO advertisements. Article: How to protect your PC EDIT: I might also note that I use SpywareBlaster and Spybot Search & Destroy with are passive protection that blocks URLs of known bad sites. I also use Firefox exclusively with NoScript and WOT plugins...however, I have NoScript configured to allow all on the Nexus sites.
