well it had to be because i saw several different locations on the map, when one guy was playing. and they all picked riverwood. not one wanted to pick another location =/

Maybe you can't go to them? There might be map marker locations, and it will give you some deal like "This location is not available in the demo"

It was the full game actually, except the beginning and MQ.

Even if it's the full game, don't you think they would block areas due to leak? Or so they won't ruin the release experience?

They had 15 minutes to play the game, they couldn't dig up something spoiler-ish even if they wanted to.

If it's like Oblivion. You can visit any major city from fast travel... There must be something limiting. Otherwise in 15 mins I could figure out a lot of stuff about a city no one has said anything about yet. Especially if that's what I had in mind from the first moment. Especially considering what I already know. I've read already that fast travel costs money, that could be the reason?

so many things about travel are un known .. you might need to visit a city first .. which I would like... plus it was a 20min demo so I think they were just checking out the closest things .. they might not have even had time to figure out fast travel .. think about it .. if you had 15-20 mins to play skyrim would you waste your time in the menus?

I wish I could remember exactly what source it was, but it likely could be Pete Hines' Twitter, but this was clarified. Fast Travel costs nothing, but a carriage system (that was compared to Silt Striders I believe) will cost money.

Edit: And I actually sincerely hope that there are no pre-discovered map markers like in Oblivion. That was straight up dumb, and one of the first things I modded out. Undiscovered location markers are better but I'd still rather figure it all out myself.

Just speculation in the end. Just my thoughts on the situation.

It could be possible that your character has visited all the major places ala Oblivion. It's dumb I agree, but simple explanation.

Though I can't figure out which source the information is, I'm not speculating. I read what I said.

Last I heard is that you have to have been to a location to fast travel to it even if it is a city, so that may be a reason. It shows on the map, but it's not possible to fast travel there yet...
