Can't remember what necromage did, probably like half the mage perks do, it probably just reduces magicka cost for something, I'm pretty sure it was in conjuration. Most of the perks in conjuration and destruction are bit like that, with the odd interesting one that does something like reduces damage from some type of magic or you absorb it like the ward one.

Kinda disappointing they couldn't come up with any interesting ideas for magic perks aside from numerical stat boosts :/

Oh well. Thanks for the great details all the same. Time to start planning some modded perks!

Sorry about the flame spell I was going to at least look but with the crashing and what not I only ended up having a max 15mins on it. I'm still guessing that your destruction level must affect the spell some how. But there are tiers to the different spells. So perhaps they don't get much more powerful though. The novice flame spell will drop a bandit at lvl1 really quick. I assume at level 25 that same spell would only tickle the bandit, And I can't see how much more powerful it could be compared to a master level spell, even if destruction level is 75. See what I mean. What would be the point of a master flame spell if your novice one is still dropping bandits like flies at higher level.

Eh, it's alright. We'll find out in a month anyway one way or another.

Crap. There goes my water-breathing spells. He just said "No oxygen meter", though.Still not clear as to whether or not that means you can breathe underwater or if there's just no measurement for it.

Probably just not a meter, I doubt all races can suddenly breathe under water :P

Some scans I found on elderscrolls.net:

Thanks for the scans! Not sure how reliable the info is, but one of the second pic's captions mentions that "magewear" (probably robes) increases magicka regen in exchange for less armor. Someone on the forums was concerned about robes being irrelevant, so hopefully this balances them out!

Aye, that would be me, in fact me and Alcrin had quite a lengthy argument about it.I'm so glad they didn't remove spell effectiveness, that just made my entire week.

I kind of suspected they would do it through magicka regen, since they removed attributes (willpower).

Edit:It seems that there is indeed an oxygen limit underwater. https://twitter.com/#!/DCDeacon/status/117712338819366912

Likes this ... "Speech still locks you in, just not the whole zoomed up to their face thing from before. Press B and you 'unlock' - they continue to speak and you can move freely but you don't have any speech options on screen anymore, press on them again before they finish speaking and you lock back on and your options come back on screen."

I was wondering how they would handle it .. didn't seem right to have speech options and be able to walk away.

Fairly obvious tbh: How did you expect scrolling through the options to work when you still have full control of your character?

My concern is how this'll be ported to the PC... You'd better not have to scroll through the options using W/S :/

From what I saw in a leaked video of a PAX demo, you can still move the camera around even when the dialog options are still up, you just can't move around.Wonder how that'll work on PC.I'm going to go find that video.

Edit:Here it is, it's set to unlisted so Beth can't remove it.

And I found it in this post.

No, you can move around. This was already confirmed. You can actually straight up walk away during a conversation(thought according to Todd, this doesn't make the npc's very happy)
