arryjan86
hi there folks how are you all doing? I'm a newbie to this forum but i've played oblivion for about a year now..never finished it cause I'm a really picky guy when it comes to creating a character. Anyway, I decided to make a sort of Van Helsing-esque character but I wonder what kind of attributes and skills/talents i should pick for this character and which race. also; do you know any good armor/clothing which would be suitable or do i have to download a mod (which i'm terrible at let me tell ya that) greets, arryjan86
majikmonkee
Interesting idea. When I try to picture a Van Helsing type character, my mind always goes back to the one from the more modern movie (I'm old school and have seen the clasic Dracula films, but he was a pretty boring character in those films). I'll give my suggestions as to how I'd create this character if I were doing it, please note this does not necessarily mean this is what you MUST do... If you want my opinion, a couple of things I think would be good vampire hunting additions first of all... Crossbows of Cyrodiil - because I like the idea of vampire hunters using a crossbow.Addonay's Ranger Coats - because a duster seems like a decent look for a Van Helsing charcter (especially an armored one). I'd go with some leather greaves and leather boots for the pants and boots, but that's just me. Now, on to attributes... For the two attributes you get for your class, I'd either create a class or choose one with Agility and Endurance. The seven skills I would favor if it were me creating the character would be Blade, Armorer, Athletics, Acrobatics, Sneak, Marksman and Light Armor. I envision a character skilled with ranged attacks but also able to survive a melee conflict. A character able to sneak around and outrun danger if necessary, but take down enemies face to face if necessary. Anyway, I've played around with many different combinations but am by no means an expert on the subject. Do whatever you feel makes the character your own and will suit your play style. :whistling:
