Where are my savegames?

C:\Documents and Settings\**USERNAME**\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves

Where can I find a list of active plugins?*

C:\Documents and Settings\**USERNAME**\Local Settings\Application Data\Oblivion\Plugins.txt

Someone told me to change a value in oblivion.ini. Where is that?

C:\Documents and Settings\**USERNAME**\My Documents\My Games\Oblivion

I'm trying to make a mod, but I can't seem to find the files I need.

To access the original files, you'll need to unpack them first. Use this utility to do so.

*If you substitute your username, you can open this in your web browser, which is probably quicker.

This may belong in Modifications, but it seems more of a General thing.

If I've missed something, please let me know.

Yay! Now they work on all windows systems (that I know of, at least) :D

Ye' know, some people keep their system stuff on other partitions than C:

If you have reasigned your Windows documents folder then it will bypass the C:\Documents and Settings\**USERNAME**\ address and send those files to the new "My Documents" folder.

Ex: I reasigned My Documents folder (which default address is the above mentioned) to E:\Mis Documentos so now I have to search for those files at E:\Mis Documentos\My Games\Oblivion\

Note: The plugins.txt may not be created or at least I can't find it on my system... maybe because I didn't used the Oblivion launcher to activate the mods.

This may be a bit off topic but for the Oblivion_default.ini file on my vista laptop when installing OBMM it has an error and says "no file found, if you changed or removed..." What should I do?. The mod Deadly Reflex requires OBMM and it is the onluy mod i want... What do I do? :thanks: AusDaBoss

But you did copy paste the link, filled in your own username and hit enter?

The local-settings is normally hidden, so you can't navigate to it directly using the folders without disabling that.

As said, copy-past it into your browser and replace **username** with the name you login with on your pc and hit enter .

Everyone has a local settings folder.
