Companion Problem

I am not entirely sure whether this is the appropriate location to be posting this issue. Please correct me if i'm wrong.


I first started having issues with Sydney as a follower (Using the Followers Pack mod by arroyo340). She would fire herself when told to wait and return to Underworld. After which, i am un-able to hire her again... i would receive a message saying i do not have enough Charisma for another follower even if i have CH of 10 and am supposed to have infinite amount of followers (as the mod intends).

Then, after i fire some other companions i get the same message aswell. Even if i am virtually alone.

First i thought this was a problem with the mod so i have gone and contacted the mod author and he tells me that i am the only one with this problem.


I have gone to DLC places... as i expect the issue to solve itself but to no avail.
I have also disabled the mod temporarily and i can hire one follower but if told to wait, he/she would fire himself/herself again.

Even more, i am unable to talk to Dogmeat. I tried disabling/enabling, killing/resurrecting and resetting his Hire Quest to no success.
Also, i have manually set the variable Hired to 0 using the console on every follower i once had.




Hopefully someone can help me with the problem.

I was not aware of a mod limit. I just hope i can remove some unnecessary ones.


About the problem i have downloaded another mod that removes the follower count and it seems to be fixed now. Also i (forcefully) played around with the console variables and Dogmeat is now responding.

I will update if the auto-firing persists. I am still somewhat curious as to what caused my previous problems... so that others can avoid it in the future?

ps. Most if not all my mods are essential for me... is there a way to merge mods so that i wouldn't have to delete some?
