After playing with these for a little while, and considering the requirements for my mod, it would be nice to have a vault passage 'internal' door, that could allow the passages to serve as a connection between cells. As it stands you would need to use the Utility hinged door as a teleporting exit, which would immediately land you outside (or in) the passages. Not the best transition. Better would be if the player gets to move through the 'conduit cover' or 'grate' entrances, then moves through a vault passage internal teleporting door. Not sure what such a door could look like though. Perhaps grates...Or just a simple hinged door.

Here are some shots of the environment I've built around the vault passages pieces so far. It is quite dark, so the shots are not that clear, but this is to be expected as these are largely unlit, and seldom used 'access' or conduit passages. Still, you might be able to make something out if you look closely. I made the base tiles slightly narrower, and tweaked the textures a tiny bit. There is piping galore added as well.

Another thing that I am going to do, and which would make your set even better, would be to include access panels through standard Vault room pieces. I have attached a shot showing how easy it is to set up. All we need is a 'Room Panel' type swinging door, and a bunch of rooms with panels cut out and collisions adjusted, and you have opened up a whole new level of exploration in the vaults.

That looks pretty great so far. I like the added pipes.

For a door you could use the end exit piece with a door version of the grate (just put a black plane behind it so you can't see through the holes.)

Of course! I didn't even think of that. The door doesn't even have to really open, as it will just be a teleporting door.

I've been working on some neon bits for signs. I am also working on a mod to show what can be done with this resource.

Here is a screenshot of a town I'm working on:

That is insanely cool. It looks like some kind of post-apocalyptic survival city/bunker that has aged and run-down over the years.

I also like the look of the neon underground. More complex, vegasy neon lights would look very nice in this setting as well, I think.

Neon strips or tubes for floor or wall lighting could also go well.

That is the look I'm going for.

I have a couple more pictures:

The doors are very nice too. I assume they have an action, moving to the sides to open?

I made a bunch of Neon Lights and signs for my Hightown mod. You might want to check those out. I got quite complex with the timings for the light blinking and flashing.

Looking at this sample town I can't decided whether it has the look of a pre-planned shelter/vault or whether it is a post apocalyptic construction/renovation of some kind of pre-existing facility. I had debated adding neon lights to Vault 24 previously, to achieve just the kind of look you have here, but in the end I didn't go for it as I couldn't explain why the neon would be there. At least in a vault's default state. It is really interesting to see your creation, as it is so similar to the visuals I had hoped to create. And it looks awesome.

I have a couple new tilesets I'm just finishing up.

A new set of catwalks and some modular offices.
