Dradum_Fairoak
Do I have to be at a certain level to start this quest, or do I just go and talk to Sellus Gravius whenever? Should I be at a certain level so I don't get killed? What do I have to do? :) Haven't done anything with this mod yet as you may be able to tell :D but Bethesda released it and dammit that's good enough for me. Daddy Two-Foot
You'll want to be a bit higher level for this quest, because there are oh so many skeletons. I saw the things in my dreams, there were so many.
Adrian Laguna
there are oh so many skeletons. I saw the things in my dreams, there were so many. Yes. In the description of the mod it said that the fort was taken by the Skeletal Army of Gurn. When they said "Army" they meant it, there are 122 skeletons total. The leader, Gurn, is a magic using Lich (really tough skeleton). Mostly it is hack-and-slash until you get to Gurn. You will have help though, three people will follow and help you defeat the skeletons. I recomend you are level 30 when you go to Firemoth but a few levels below that is not much of a difference. Pikeman85
At level 20 I could do fine against everything but Gurn who I cannot defeat yet. Of course I was in full glass armor and a happy little Dark Brotherhood assassin decided to give me a daedric wakasazi (sp?) so perhaps that is why I did well at level 20 :)
Dradum_Fairoak
Level 30? Sh*t....guess I'll hold my level 1 mage back a bit then ;) Cheers all More censory courtesy of Switch. Try to keep swearing off these forums thanks :D Edited October 30, 2003 by Switch
AdamNeko
Because LIches tend to be more powerful, you would want to generally stay away from them until at least 25th level.
Charon
I ran down every skeleton but Lich being level ~5. B) Of course I used help of the volunteers, but they fell near the castle, so I had to clean inside all by myself. Lich IS really tough, even though he is supposed to be level 15. He has simple iron or steel saber and quest shield. Why he is sooo tough I have no idea. I just finished him off on the level 34 - after Umbra it was the second toughest fight in my Morrowind carrer. AdamNeko
SOmetimes, 15th level isn't what its supposed to be. Charon, I think it's doable at 15 with the right firepower, if you get my drift. I managed to take him out as a 12th level Light Jedi using my custom race, Jedi Khajiit, and an absolute assload of fire spell scrolls. And lots more healing to go with it. I'm not trying to brag or anything, but Liches don't like to die and I think they regenerate health too in MW.
Feniks
Gurns sword attack is weak. What he kills you with is his magic. If you defend against his magic attack then you can take him out with ease. I did him in at lvl 13 with skull crusher and a couple of magic rings that everyone should have. I still had to use a couple of healing potions but the fight was a blast. And 1 of my friends even survived to ride the boat home with me. Potions of shock resistance are needed also. Tink1972
This was a very fun quest a hack n slash with a good boss at the end. I was able to do this quest with my Wood Elf Archer at LvL 2. The tools : Marksman at LvL 54 used about 125 arrows ( Iron)(which you can collect as many as you can carry from defeating all the skeletons around the Island) The tactics are to firsly run for cover to the left pillar and using a a sparksword ( iron longsword with 1-4 shock damage) and a shield,Kill off the skeletons as quickly as possible, draw Grurn out and use the pillar as cover for his magical attacks, as soon as one hits the pilar move out and hit with an arrow- rinse repeat until dead. He will move from side to side trying to get to use just use the pillar to put him into the protected position and keep pelting him with arrows. This will take some time and maybe a few re-loads if you move from cover at the wrong point but this is the easiest way I've found to kill him.
