Ironscar20
Hi, I'm creating a quest for New Vegas and I am wondering if I am allowed to use the models/textures from Fallout 3. The one in particular I want to use is the Enclave Hellfire Armour and helmet. I know how to do it if I can. I just want to check if I'm not allowed due to Trademark/ Copyright rules. Thanks in advance.
Deleted1205226User
If the model & texture is not in NV BSAs (a lot of FO3 assets are present in both games) then you cannot use it in a published mod. Of course you can do what you want on your own computer.
Ironscar20
Shame, Thanks for the info. Need to look for a different Armor then.
DaemonGrin
Would like to add a little more info to Pixelhate's comment. You can use Fallout 3 textures/models/sounds files as long as you don't include them within the mod folders. The person intending to use your mod would need to extract those files from their copy of fallout 3 and place them where you specify in you hopefully thorough read me. Good luck!
