Morrowind Wish List

Ah, the great 'online multiplayer' point pops up again. Let us think about the difficulties, without even mentioning the damage to framerates.

1. When you talk to someone, Morrowind pauses. The world stops moving. So what happens if person 1 goes to person 2 and begins talking, but person 3 wants to whack person 2 in the back of the head with a sword? Do they have to pause while the people are talking, or do the people in conversation sort of disappear from the world, or what?

2. You inevitably get clans. Clans are stupid. Can you imagine anything more annoying than every time you are out for a nice stroll, six people suddenly set upon you and begin fighting you? Having said that, there are upsides to clans....gang wars would be pretty damn spiffy. And it would be cool to get a group of mates to tour the island together.

3. There's bound to be one muppet who plays it 24 hours a day for the first week and gets himself up to a ridiculously high level, then just goes around picking on weaker players. This I think could be avoided if you had separate islands for certain level brackets (0-5, 6-10, 10-20, 20-30, 30-50, 50-70, 70+), but that's going to be difficult to implement.

This isnt necesarily a we-want-a-multiplayer-thread.

Most of the demands are regarding the SP. As normal there are a few demands after a multiplayer but we cant blame them, can we? Morrowind is a marvelous game and a multiplayer would be fun. About the killing weaker players can easily been done something. Like restrictions, making it unavailable to attack other players within an area or something. I believe our intelligent mod creators wouldnt have much problems there.

Anyone played Runescape? (www.runescape.com)

You could just set off specific areas like a wilderness or large forest (serious fps drop-down) for people to fight eachother, and to explore and find better weapons the farther in the forest you get !

Yes, but don't forget to mention the possibilities..... Just one quick comment [don't want to change the topic]-about framerates. Have you played any MMORPGs lately? The landscapes are huge; most are as big if not bigger than Morrowind's. THey have little to no framerate distortion/lag.

1. VASTLY IMPROVED COMBAT ENGINE

2. Two swords.....

3. Mounts......

4. Major Battles.....

5. At least an option to play on LAN [co-op exploration with a buddy would be sweet], if not a full multiplayer aspect.....

6. More, but not listed here [they are minor....]

I wish this game wasn't so "cellish" or what I should call it..I would rather wan't it to take 15 minutes when you start the game, instead of having that continuosly pre-loading each time you enter a new cell, (when you have been outside the whole time, old cells you've been to has already been loaded so it won't need to load again..BUT when you have been inside a house for some seconds, it starts to load again ALL of the damn cells that you enter, It's like the game doesn't realize that you've been in that cell before EVAH!!) This thing PISSES ME OFF! *Prays to his lord that this will be changed in the next versions...even if it's impossible.*
