andylama
Hi all, just a shot in the dark here (literally) I have a bunch of mods installed (listed below), and after around 46 hours of normal, trouble-free play, the whole world suddenly went very dark (ultra-high contrast), and interiors are almost pitch black. Even bright daylight exteriors are contrasty and very dark, with super-saturated colors. Totally unplayable this way. What's weird is if I reload a much earlier savegame (when everything looked fine), the screen will initially look fine, then after just a few seconds, the whole game will hang for about 20 seconds, then go dark again. I tried disabling any mods that had to do with atmospheres, weather, etc., but no change. Any ideas, before I have to throw away my character and reinstall everything? I'm just hoping this rings a bell with someone here. Thanks. =============MODS installed:Crash PreventionDarnified UIFastExitOBSE 0019Streamline 3.1Stutter Remover 4.1Unofficial Patch 3.2.0Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch 1.4.0AliveWatersBetter Cities 4.8.3HiRes Book JacketsEye Candy Body 1.21Midas Magic 0995Natural EnvironmentsNatural Faces 95OGE v2OOOUnique Landscapes 1.6.0Windows & ChimneysBartholm 70Elsweyr AnequinaGlenvar CastleHoarfrost CastleLost Spires 14SoVvMVilja 2.3.2Cute Elves PC: Win 7 x64, 8GB RAM, running executables in WinXP XP3 compatibility mode to prevent crashes on exit. Hickory
Disable OBGE and see if the problem persists.
Smooth613
This is called, installing a mod and not reading the documentation. That's the only problem here. Read the documentation supplied with OBGE and decide which shaders you want to use and adjust them accordingly. You should always read the documentation surrounding the mods you install, otherwise you'll run into many of these so-called "problems".

I was just thrown by the fact that everything was fine for weeks of regular gameplay, then all of a sudden...blam. I couldn't correlate it to anything. EDIT: I read the docs, and don't see how I could have prevented that sudden behavior, without having some kind of innate understanding of the fairly techie-oriented settings. No matter, and I kind of expected to have a finger wagged at me. In any case, you pointed me in the right direction, and I have restored normal lighting and usable gameplay without any hassle at all, and for that, I thank you.
