xchargerfanx
Hello, I've been searching for a mod on here that actually makes those fancy clothes you find in towns actually have a purpose, instead of being purely for aesthetic value. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to come across any at all :(. I am trying to think of how to make this mod work without using magical enchantments on the clothes themselves; just a natural thing that goes off in the AI's head that says "Hey, that's some fine threads you got there, maybe I might just have a little more respect for you ;) ." Or, if you're wearing all those fancy clothes and you meet a person with a low responsibility, probably a beggar or thief, they might dislike you more. But, if you wear cheap clothes like sack cloth shirts and pants, they might feel more comfortable around you, and in turn have a higher disposition. As you can imagine, this would add a great deal of immersion in the game and the role-playing experience, knowing that it is probably better to go into a town wearing your finest garments, or trashy beggar-looking rags, instead of all that random fighting gear. Now I wish I could make this mod myself, but I still need a lot to learn with the Construction Set, so if I do end up making it, it probably won't be for a couple weeks or months until i finally get the hang of it lol. So, anyone out there that thinks they can make this happen, please go right ahead, and thanks :)
MightyMe
Fancy clothes tend to be expensive, unless it is some overly cheap mod made garments. I suggest you simply check what a vendor would pay for the clothes and base opinions of how wealthy someone are on that. I got no idea about how to do this thou but got inspired when reinstalling Morrowind and stumbled on the information that that is how it work there even to the point of zero value clothes mean nude and npc's commenting on that. xchargerfanx
Well, technically, the vanilla "fancy" garments are actually pretty cheap. However, mods like Living Economy raise the prices of these fancy looking clothes to add more realism to the game. More than likely, I (or the person making this mod), would have to go in to each piece of clothing in the game and set some sort of "disposition/responsibility tag" to each one, where it affects the disposition of whomever you're speaking to. Just a wild thought, there could possibly be better ideas and solutions out there.

alonsomartinez
Bumping is against the rules http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif Do you mean like how they did it in Morrowind ? I remember that people would always give you dirty comments like " The nerve of this one " and things like " Someone should clothes this beast" You could try a script effect that casts a frenzy spell ( a weak one ) in a small areato anger the people , which will lower their disposition, Edited January 19, 2011 by alonsomartinez
